Here at Snowflake Farms we raise an assortment of rabbits ... Domestic and Purebreds. You'll find small Lops, medium Silver Fox and large Flemish Giants. Please look around the Snowflake Farms Rabbitry. We're sure that you will find something to tell your friends about.
Our rabbitry is a very fun and growing part of Snowflake Farms.
"Beatrice" is our newest momma on her first set of kits. Her partner was "Grey Boy", the son of "Snowflake" and "Grey Ears". Her baby bunnies were born on January 22, 2016 at 10:30 AM. Out of 8 kits, 7 have survived and are thriving! See them in action on You-Tube.
Our Purebred line includes Flemish Giant, Silver Fox Rabbits, Holland Lops and American Fuzzy Lops. Each group of rabbits has their own exciting traits worth mentioning.
Flemish Giants are known for their huge size, large feet and big ears.
Silver Fox have stunning silvery hair mixed in with their solid color. (Currently, all of our Silver Fox rabbits have black as their main color.)
Silver Fox have solid black toenails unlike the white found in most rabbits. Their hair if brushed the wrong way will stay upright until it is brushed back down.
Holland Lops have smooth fur and very friendly. These small cuddly rabbits come in a variety of colors and will sit for long periods of time in your lap. They are a delight to behold.
American Fuzzy Lops are similar in size and gentleness to the Holland Lops. Their fur however is quite fuzzy, so much that you might say that they look like they are "having a bad hair day". "Fluffy" is currently our only American Fuzzy Lop. She loves to be held and brushed or groomed.
Stop by often to see what's new as we are planning to expand our variety of colors in 2016. We plan on mixing the Flemish Giants with the Silver Fox and Holland Lops with the American Fuzzy Lops. We are hoping for some great results with an incredible array of colors.
"Snowflake" deserves special mention. Her gentleness, great love and care for her kits has made her a joy to have around. She takes her mothering seriously. Watching her with her babies makes one smile as they all gather around to enjoy a meal together. "Snowflake" had 4 sets of kits for her previous owner and now 2 sets here on the farm. Both sets here have been a litter of 8 and all survived to maturity. She enjoys an afternoon treat of celery and she sure loves her water. (She is shown here on the right)
Size and coloring are an important factor when choosing a bunny. They do change coloring variations as they mature.
